Google Play Payment for Spotify#
I have been using Spotify for a little over a year. I previously purchased a one-year family membership from the Honey Store. However, it expired with one month remaining. I saw many people experiencing the same issue in the official Telegram messages, and later they even disabled messaging. Re-adding the membership seemed to result in some content being removed from my account, so I didn't bother submitting a support ticket.
The biggest impact of not having a membership is that on the mobile app, I can only play music randomly when I enter an album. I can't see the list of songs, and there is no "next" button on the interface. I can only double-click on my headphones to play the next song. Additionally, there are 30-second ads, and depending on the region, I hear ads in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
This is how vendors work. The less you buy, the bigger the discount they offer to lure you back. In the normal Hong Kong region, it costs 68HK per month. Since I haven't been a member for a while, they offered me three months for 68HK. I had been considering creating a family plan in the Hong Kong region, but I was worried about the stability of the members and the monthly cost of 108HK, so I decided to start with an individual membership.
Before using Spotify, I re-downloaded NetEase Cloud Music and QQ Music. When I opened the apps, they felt bloated, and the membership wasn't cheap either. Although there may be some discount channels, I didn't want to bother with them.
Spotify only accepted PayPal for payment, and after linking my PayPal account, it prompted me to use a PayPal account from the same region. However, I was using an account from mainland China, so I couldn't add funds. It's frustrating that they won't let me spend my money. So I checked on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book) and found a recommendation to use Google Play for payment. Coincidentally, I had just switched to a Xiaomi 13, so I easily linked my payment method.
Dog's Bed#
It's been almost a month since my dog came back. He is still using my old clothes as his bed. He doesn't understand and pees in the bed. I have already changed it four times, and I don't have any more old clothes to provide for him. Although it's a problem when he pees, as long as he doesn't eat 💩, everything is fine. So I bought two beds for him. On Saturday afternoon, the bed was warmed by the sun, and it was really comfortable for him to lie on it.
But good things don't last long. On Sunday night, he peed on the bed again. I changed to a new one and put my cushion on top, hoping he will cherish it.
Project PR#
This week, I came across a project on GitHub called lobe-chat. It's also related to ChatGPT, so I tried it out. My first impression was good, and the project is quite complete. While deleting an assistant, I found an i18n issue and submitted a PR to fix it. This is my first bug-related PR, and it was merged quickly.

I check GitHub every day and see that the profiles of the experts are very cool or filled with content. So I decided to update mine as well.

"Spent My Time On" is powered by Dashboard - WakaTime. I installed plugins for WebStorm, VSCode, and Obsidian, which automatically track my time. It's quite useful.
The two sections, "Blog" and "Weekly," use GitHub Actions to automatically fetch and display content from RSS feeds at fixed times.
The final section shows the number of stars I have received. I'm satisfied with over 200 stars, but none of my projects have reached 100 stars yet. I'll continue to work hard in the future.
